HypeStudios® is an independent European studio focusing on feature films and television series development, financing and production.
Hype Studios was launched in 2022 by producer Ilya Stewart as a new chapter for an established media company, with headquarters and a foothold in Europe, and a strategy to operate on a global scale.
Over the years, Hype has excelled at identifying talent and cultivating relationships with auteurs around the world and has had a increasing presence at major international film festivals and markets.
Our team shares our filmmakers' passion and drive for telling great stories and building unique worlds, and that will always remain the essence of the culture at Hype.
We continue to build bridges and work across borders to bring their incredible and diverse visions to life, and to believe in the indisputable power of storytelling.
Since 2016, Hype has developed and produced award-winning work, including Kirill Serebrennikov’s “The Student”, collaborating with the director again on “Leto”, “Petrov’s Flu”, "Tchaikovsky's Wife", "Limonov" and "Disappearance".
Serebrennikov's films were all selected to compete at the Cannes Film Festival and were released internationally to wide critical acclaim.
